Bands were broadcasted live each Wednesday afternoon and the listeners could send in postcards to cast their votes.
Look, I still have a book with all the pictures. The Rocking Thunders won the Radio Veronica talent contest.
The final ceremony was held in a theatre. Arnold Vis and Andie de Vries were responsible for the recording and broadcasting of the event.
The location was in Zwijndrecht en it got headlines in all the Dutch newspapers.
They mentioned that the theatre had been converted into a real Radio station from Radio Veronica, and to be honest that was true.
All our broadcasting and recording gear moved from our location on the Zeedijk to Zwijndrecht, we had nothing left in our own location, all went to the theatre.
Yes, we demolished the place, just to cover this unique event :-)
