B-sides myself

Eric Willekens

My interest for music came at a pretty late age, I was 14 years old when I purchased my first electric guitar and my first band was created as part of a youth movement, this very first band was called "keep on rockin' me baby", followed by a band (see picture) where we opted to play more challenging songs.

At the age of 18 I joined a local rock band to play the rhythm guitar and with this group I roamed the Flemish parts of Belgium and sometimes Holland for about two years.

Finally I formed my own band, and we would conquer Belgium and the rest of the World, however we never left the location where we practiced and after two years we decided we wouldn't go anywhere and broke up.

Sure, I tried a few other options, but decided little by little to burry my musical aspirations and gave it all up after my last gig in 1984.

In 2005 I picked up my old and dusty case, took out the guitar, got some new strings and joined a one night band to play a surprise gig on our company party for a 1200+ people. Our bass player (Lanny Smouter) suggestion that I should join the band he was touring with and that's how I discovered the B-sides and now I have found back what I had lost and I love it !

I am honored to be a valued part of this band, these guys have way to much talent and are nice people to know.
